1582 Words
Tina Winters was no ordinary sixteen-year-old. Standing at 5’2" and weighing 150 lbs, she was a fierce warrior with a personality that revolved around her goals. Her parents always said she was ambitious and confident, traits that set her apart from others her age. Tina trained with her father every day, honing her skills and becoming more potent than most of the boys in her pack. Her mother often described her as having a delightful personality, captivating and confident in all she did. Tina never backed down from a challenge and was determined to prove her worth to her pack, the Red Dawn. Tina knew only pack life. Respect for Alpha, Luna, pack loyalty, mutual protection - these were her lessons. Her family was everything to her, and she cherished the moments spent training with her father and learning from her mother. Tina excelled in her studies and had many friends, but her true passion lay in becoming a formidable warrior. Tina’s father, a seasoned warrior himself, took great pride in training her. They wake up at dawn, first light of sun touching the horizon, head to the training grounds. Tina would practice her combat skills there, learning to fight with precision and strength. Her father would often spar with her, pushing her to her limits. “Be stronger than your enemies, Tina,” he would say. “Strength is not just about muscles; it’s about heart and mind.” Her mother taught her prizing balance and strategy. “A true warrior knows when to fight and retreat,” she would say. “You must learn to read your opponents, understand their weaknesses, and use them to your advantage.” Tina absorbed these lessons, knowing that they would be crucial in her journey to prove herself. The night before her 16th birthday, Tina’s parents had planned an enormous party, inviting friends and family to celebrate. Streamers and balloons adorned the packed house, and the delicious food being prepared filled the air with its aroma. Tina felt special knowing that Alpha Kevin and Luna Brittany had invited her to the pack house a day early to give her a present. The gift was a beautiful aquamarine diamond necklace shaped like a raindrop. It sparkled in the light, and Tina felt an inexplicable connection. They told her it was special and would bring her luck, and she couldn’t help but feel drawn to it. The necklace seemed to hum, and Tina touched it, feeling its cool surface against her skin. As she admired the necklace, Alpha Kevin placed a hand on her shoulder. “This necklace has been in our pack for generations,” he said. “It is said to bring luck and protection to its wearer. We believe that this necklace was meant for you, Tina. Wear it with pride.” Luna Brittany smiled warmly. “You have a bright future ahead of you, Tina. We are proud of the young woman you are becoming. This necklace is a symbol of our faith in you.” Tina felt a surge of emotion. She had always looked up to the Alpha and Luna; their words meant the world to her. She vowed to live up to their expectations and make her pack proud. As Tina drifted off to sleep that night, she was transported to a dream world unlike any she had experienced before. She walked through a landscape filled with trees and flowers, the air fragrant with the scent of blooming lilies and roses. The sky was a soft twilight, casting a gentle glow over everything. She came upon a dreamy willow tree surrounded by purple lilies. The willow’s drooping branches swayed gently in the breeze, and the lilies’ petals shimmered in the soft light. The peacefulness of the place made her feel calm and protected. She sat down beneath the willow, listening to the soothing sound of a nearby river. Suddenly, she heard a man’s perfect laugh, drawing her towards him. She stood up and looked around, her heart racing with curiosity and excitement. She saw a man with angel wings dressed in white pants, his muscular body and beautiful face captivating her. His wings were magnificent, with long feathers that shimmered like silver in the twilight. The man smiled warmly at her. “Hello, my little Tina,” he said, his voice like a melody. So perfect you are. You look so beautiful. It makes my mouth water just looking at you. I’m sorry for scaring you. I know it’s confusing right now and that you can’t seem to find the words, though I bet you sound like an angel. No pun intended." Tina felt a strange sense of familiarity and comfort. “Who are you?” she managed to ask, her voice trembling slightly. “My name is Mickal,” he replied. “I’m your guardian angel, so to speak, but I’m yours as you are mine.” Tina’s mind raced with questions. “Guardian angel? What do you mean?” Mickal’s expression grew serious. “You have come here many times. You just don’t remember. That is because before, you were not meant to. I placed a block on your mind to keep you safe. I came here because your mind reached out for me tonight. I know you don’t understand, but there is something coming for you. Now that you’re sixteen, not only will you get your wolf, but you will be given a gift this time. One that will shape and help you with what’s to come.” Tina’s heart pounded in her chest. “What kind of gift?” Mickal shook his head. “This gift is unknown until your first shift, unfortunately. I wish I could tell you more, but I don’t know what it is yet. I am also outlawed from telling you anymore. A curse the three goddesses of fate placed on me. I can only tell you to be prepared, sweetheart. Your world is going to change tonight. You’re not alone. I’ll be with you. Don’t forget that. Even though I cannot come to your world, know I’m coming soon. To be there to protect you, to train you and guide you, but I am stuck here a little longer.” Tina felt a mix of fear and determination. “What should I do?” “Be strong, my little one,” Mickal said gently. “Don’t let them tear you down. You will struggle, but you are stronger than you think. Look for allies; gather as many as possible, those you feel you can trust. Our time is up my little one. Wait for me, be strong for me. I’m coming as fast as I can.” Before Tina could say anything, she was jolted awake by her mother’s voice calling her. Tina sat up in bed, her heart still racing from the dream. Her mother’s voice echoed through the house, calling her to breakfast. She touched the aquamarine diamond necklace around her neck, feeling its cool surface against her skin. The dream lingered in her mind, leaving her with a sense of urgency and purpose. She got out of bed and quickly dressed, her mind racing with thoughts of the dream and Mickal’s words. As she went to the kitchen, she couldn’t shake the feeling that her life would change in ways she couldn’t yet comprehend. Her mother greeted her with a warm smile. “Good morning, birthday girl! How did you sleep?” Tina forced a smile. “Good morning, Mom. I slept... well, I think.” Her mother raised an eyebrow. “You think?” Tina shrugged. “I had a strange dream, that’s all.” Her mother nodded thoughtfully. “Dreams can be powerful, Tina. Sometimes, they carry messages we need to hear.” Tina’s father entered the kitchen, his presence filling the room with warmth and strength. “Happy birthday, sweetheart!” he said, pulling her into a bear hug. “Sixteen already. I can’t believe how fast you’ve grown.” Tina hugged him back, feeling a surge of love and gratitude. “Thanks, Dad.” As they sat down for breakfast, Tina’s mind drifted back to the dream. Mickal’s words echoed in her mind, and she couldn’t help but wonder what the future held. She knew that whatever challenges lay ahead, she would face them with strength and determination. The day passed in a blur of preparations for the party. Friends and family arrived, filling the pack house with laughter and joy. Tina tried to push the dream to the back of her mind, focusing on the celebration and the people she loved. As the sun set and the party reached its peak, Tina felt a strange sense of anticipation. She knew that her first shift was approaching and, with it, the gift Mickal had spoken of. She excused herself from the party and made her way to the edge of the pack’s territory, seeking solitude and a moment of peace. She stood beneath the moonlit sky, the aquamarine diamond necklace glinting in the light. She closed her eyes and deeply breathed, feeling the night’s energy around her. She could sense the change coming, a transformation that would shape her destiny. As the first rays of moonlight touched her skin, Tina felt a surge of power. Her body began shifting, muscles and bones rearranging as she transformed into her wolf form. The process was painful and exhilarating, a testament to her strength and resilience.
