CHAPTER ELEVEN
In the Central Core, Princess Candera was surprised when one day a guard opened the door and beckoned her out.
“Am I being released?” said Princess Candera optimistically.
“No: you walk and exercise!” said the Troglodyte guard.
Princess Candera was allowed to walk into an enclosed area where there was a barred window down to Cell Block C. Lorimor was also brought out.
“How often do they let us walk around here?” asked Princess Candera.
“Not very often: about once a week or so. Hang on,” said Lorimor, his speech increasing in volume, “what is that? That bird! In Jonub’s name!”
