CHAPTER SEVENTEEN
Princess Candera wasn’t entirely sure if Madeleine had signalled her. She saw her moving just as she was being bundled out of the exercise area. But according to Lorimor she had signalled. The last time Madeleine had appeared was very early in the morning while the guard was asleep, so she hoped that if she and Lorimor broke out of their cells then Madeleine would be there to meet them.
She tried to wake Lorimor when she woke only to find him still snoring. It was difficult as she needed him to open the locks, and if she tried too hard to wake him then it would also wake the guard.
