Zeno didn’t respond to her teasing; instead, he focused on watching Argon and Alea, as if they were the most important people in his world right now. “Dad, I’m too lazy to go back to college. I’m planning to find a smart husband who can help you and my older brothers. And he has to be smart enough so I don’t have to learn to cook!” Nancy said, making Harris smile. “You don’t sound like you’ve grown up yet. Only Nena is still in college,” Harris said. Nena was his adopted daughter, whom he took in when she was four. “Dad, Mom misses Nena,” Jane said. Nena was away, participating in a science olympiad and hadn’t come home yet. “Nena called Mom earlier. How could you forget?” Nancy teased.
