I spent all day Sunday holed up in my house thinking about things. Xavier texted me that he was around if I had more questions or needed anything. Mid-afternoon wine and flowers magically appeared at my front door. I knew that my silence was probably killing him, but I needed to get a handle on my feelings so I could be honest with him. Naturally, I did what anyone woman would do in my predicament. I went to the internet. I read everything I could find about Xavier Stone, Stone Industries, and all of its subsidiaries. Then I read about werewolf myths, mates, the Moon Goddess, all of it. When I went to bed Sunday night, I was no clearer than I had been before, but I felt more informed and that gave me a sense of satisfaction. The next few days of my new job were a blur, but they went well.
