Crescent Night

Chapter 2

I woke up the next day with my eyes swollen. I’m looking like I got whacked in the face. Everything starts coming back even though all I want to do is pretend like last night didn’t happen. I also decide not to go downstairs for breakfast, finally all those snack I kept hidden in my room are going to serve their purpose. I take out a bar of snicker before settling down on my bed. Now I’m done crying my eyes out, it's time for a little action. First thing first, I’m definitely not going to marry Beta Ted not only because he is gross, disgusting and a pervert but also for the fact that it means I will be stuck in this pack for the rest of my life. Secondly I can’t raise suspicions that I’m going to run away after throwing a little tantrum I’m going to pretend like I’m waving the white flag. Another thing is I need to steal a car, drive all the way to Iris pack, it is the farthest pack away from this one and I doubt anyone will come looking for me there, then all I need is to pledge or beg to join their pack. I just would leave out the minor detail that I don't have a wolf and by the time I’m sworn in it would be too late for them to throw me out. Well the plan seems great, so all I need to do is count down the next few days before I escape. I’m pretty sure that Beta Ted will want to claim me on my eighteenth birthday as his mate and would probably make up some dumb story about how I’m his second chance mate so I need to leave here before then.

“Sierra, get ready, we are going to the Pack house.” My mom said as she banged on my door. Just great, the pack house, the pack was were the alpha and beta of our pack lived with their kids and some other important pack members which basically means my parents are taking me to the slaughter house. Not to mention I’m definitely going to run into Jessie who is practically living at the pack house since she’s fully mated. This is going to be awful. I dragged myself out of bed. There was really no point fighting about going to the pack house. I’m pretty sure this was their idea, break the news about becoming Beta Ted mate last night and meet him tomorrow to say I agreed to being his mate. I take a quick shower and dress up before going downstairs. My dad is already saying we should get going, I guess no breakfast on my end not that they care.

We get to the pack house way too fast for my liking. I wish the walk down there took twenty years instead of twenty minutes. We are quickly urshered into Alpha Luke office, inside waiting for our arrival was Beta Ted, Alpha Luke and his family, of course Jessie was there. Yayyyy shoot me. She glared as me as I walked past her, even though I tried to avoid it, I ended up being seated next to Beta Ted. I could feel my skin crawl the minute I sat down next to him, I tried to scoot closer to my brother on the couch but I couldn’t put enough distance between us. Alpha Luke welcomed us warmly and served us some juice and snacks. He started talking about how he was so happy about Beta Ted having a new mate and how it will be great to have a new addition to the family. He also spoke about her my dad was going to be given a title and the debt our family owned will be cleared of course. The in-laws of Beta Ted can’t be debtors. I was trying my best not to zone out or get angry until I felt a hand on my back. It definitely wasn’t my brothers because he was too busy stuffing his face. I turned to look at Beta Ted and he was looking straight at Alpha Luke, if I couldn’t feel his hand going down to my lower back I would have thought I was crazy, he was literally acting like he wasn’t trying to grope me right now. I immediately got up which made Alpha Luke to pause in his dumb speech. “Emmm I need to use the bathroom.” I quickly said. Jessie got up and smiled softly. “I will show her to the bathroom” she said. We left the office and started walking in the opposite direction. Jessie grabbed me by my arm and pulled me into a room which turned out to be a tiny bathroom. She closed the door and slammed me into it. I tried to struggle against her but she was too strong. I could feel a bruise forming on my back already. This freaking b***h, I was so pissed. “What do you think you are doing?” I asked her cause she wasn’t letting go. “Do you think by mating with Beta Ted you will somehow become my equal.” This dumb b***h. How will that make me her equal. “Let go before I scream.”

“Before you even let out a sound I would have ripped you open.” I could see silver rings forming around her pupils which means her wolf was close to the surface. She finally let me go and my whole back hurt like crazy. “You are nothing Sienna. You are just a wolf less i***t who doesn’t know her place. And I’m going to teach you a lesson. Once you are claimed by Beta Ted I’m going to make your life a living hell.” She grabbed my hair and pulled me away from the door before walking out.

My scalp tingled from how hard she had pulled at my hair. I sat on the bathroom floor not having a single strength to move. If I had my wolf I would have thought that b***h a lesson. She is literally mated to Jordan, I’m not a threat to her….. she’s more of a threat to me.

After gathering myself for a few minutes I decided that I couldn’t go back into that office. I sent a quick text to mum that I had a bad stomach ache so I was going home. I flushed the tiolet, because the wolfs had hyper hearing and I don’t need them to know I lied about using the bathroom. My mum sent a text telling me not to leave and I should come back to the office, I was just going to ignore that. I opened the door and was about to slip out unnoticed before I ran into Beta Ted. He was leaning and I could tell he was definitely waiting for me. Thank goodness I flushed. He smiled at me once I was a few steps away from me. “How are you darling.” I almost threw up in my throat. “Hello.” I replied softly while trying to keep walking away. He was quick to block my way. “Sienna my beautiful mate. I can’t wait till you are mine.” He licked his lips and I could already imagine what he was thinking. “You won’t have to worry about anything mate. I will take good care of you and your family.” He said closing the space between us, before I could move further he grabbed my hips and kissed me. I couldn’t even push him off me a little. I started hitting hard on his chest as tears streamed down my eyes. He finally let go of me and caressed my cheeks. “Why the tears mate, this is just a taste of what will happen once we are mates.” I couldn’t hold it in any longer. “You are a disgusting pig.” I yelled. I ran away from the pack house and went straight home. I slammed the door shut and started packing my things. I’m not going to let that animal touch me. I’m not his mate. I heard heavy footsteps on the stairs and immediately knew it was my dad. I guess he must have heard what I said to Beta Ted. He slammed his fists on the door repeatedly. “ Sienna are you crazy. What do you think you are trying to do. Are you trying to ruin this family.” I just turned on my speaker and blasted music to block out his yelling. I could hear my mum talking to him. Probably trying to calm him down.

I laid down on my bed and for the second day in a row cried my eyes out. I wasn’t going to mate with Beta Ted. I will rather die. I’m not even his mate yet and he’s already taking advantage of me. I could feel myself getting drained as I cried before I finally fell asleep with only one thought on my head.
