The moment Christine emerged from the cave, Cutler backhanded her across the cheek and mouth. Hard. "That"s for betraying me!" Cutler almost spit in her face.
Christine rubbed the redness. "I didn"t betray you."
"Oh, yeah? So coming here with the intent to kill David was not your first priority?"
"No, it wasn"t. Listen to you, Cut. You"re distraught. You"re not yourself."
"Hell, yeah, I"m distraught! Maybe one day you"ll fall in love, and then discover that Bar is doing everything she can to keep the two of you apart. Only, it doesn"t work, so she caves in and lets him tag along like he wants to."
