Ice
Bar stared at him in surprise. The fact that she had been taken completely by surprise gave him a little thrill. David bet that she was rarely caught unaware.
"Ice, Mr. Fellowes?"
"Dry ice, to be more specific."
"Dry ice is basically solidified carbon dioxide."
"Exactly. And when it"s exposed to oxygen, it literally melts, and very quickly. It"s elementary science."
"Go on."
David pointed to the glass box he"d sat upon the woman"s desk. "Your scientists did an expert job in examining the container. The only problem is, they don"t know how to read what they"d found. At least, not from a cop"s point of view." He gave her a small smile, then continued.
