THE UNIVERSITY SAT in the Northern Hemisphere of Zoldoren, a rocky planet with minimum surface water. Yet water was plentiful due to the extensive river system buried deep under the rocky surface of the planet. A handful of wide rivers with swift churning water could be found on the surface. One such river ran alongside the university, giving the illusion that surface water was plentiful to all its guests.
An orange sun disappeared beyond the horizon as their transport landed. The evening lights cast shadows about the complex, giving the university the look of a city of small castles.
