A new friend

''WHO'S THERE?! I'M ARMED!'' - Fyodor panicked The voice started laughing ''yeah right, I know you don't own anything remotely sharp''  He tried to run but his legs stopped working and he fell to the ground and grabbed a broken tables leg at hand and pointed it at the direction the voice was coming from. It wasn't quite a raw voice, more like a feeling of vibrations that made out words and meaning. Out of the bathroom came a sort of shade, ghost-like, that looked like a glitch becoming more clear a second and transparent the other. ''First of all, calm down, I'm here to help you - ''ARE YOU GOING TO KILL ME??'' Fyodor interrupted him out of fear ''No just listen I am on YOUR side, you want to defeat Helena, right?'' -''So who are you?'' -''I'm the you that died. From the future when you got killed, that wasn't quite you, it was an alternate you, which caused you to go back to this time, and since my body died but not the conscience, I have no body to go to, which means I'm neither dead nor alive, stuck between dimensions. When you finish your mission, I will fully go to the other side.'' -  Fyodor was shocked and could barely move ''So you're not going to kill me?'' The ghost seemed exasperated already ''Call me Lucio I'm going to help you help Helena so she doesn't kill you.'' -'' WHAT? WHY WOULD I HELP HER I'M GOING TO KILL HER SO SHE DOESN'T DESTROY EVERYTHING'' Fyodor was bewildered at his words, why would he ever help her when she's going to destroy the world. ''You don't know the reason of why she's going to, which is why I need you to help her'' He still seemed to not understand, but as long as the world doesn't get destroyed he'll go with it. A few minutes of silence pass by until Fyodor breaks it ''Sooo, dead me, quick question; do I get some dope ass superpowers during the apocalypse??'' ''...no.. only people with an actual brain they use''  ''That reminds me I need to get food, you can't carry bags can you, ''Lucio''?''  Lucio seemed amused ''Nope you're gonna have to use your manly will to get them here, and also,'' he thought for a bit ''you can go ahead and quit your job since its not gonna matter in the next year or beyond'' That was the best news he'd received. That shitty, low-wage, degrading place where he'd constantly have to lift heavy objects and most likely damage his joints or back. The savings in a jar in his room would suffice for food for a while maybe. The irony of this town is that, although he didn't have much, he was able to buy healthy food, having the vegetable and meat market being the cheapest in town. He couldn't buy white bread, but it's for the best. A 20 minute walk and there it was, a few stands of villagers trying to sell away their produce. Some having milk and some having fruits. As Fyodor reached to grab a tangerines, Lucio stopped him ''Don't buy from this lady, these are from 2 months ago because they didn't sell and are just old and rotten, go get from that old man with the walking cane, they're much better.'' And it was true, the old man even cracked a joke and a smile for him. The tangerines were the tastiest he'd ever tried. Fyodor had noticed something, that had been bothering him more and more, until he realized that he didn't remember what being pierced felt like and he asked Lucio about it, to which he replied ''You can't remember because you didn't quite go through it, and soon you'll remember the future as a long past or as a vivid dream you can't seem to visualize. You'll remember me and Helena, because you met us in this dimension, and as long as you don't forget your mission, it's good'' He still seemed a bit confused but at least knew this interesting fact.
