Chapter 3: Meeting My Soulmate

1267 Words
I struggled with my steps, taking each one crookedly as if I were walking a tightrope, and managed to make it to the doorway, only to trip over the threshold and nearly fall to the ground. I put my hand on the door and tried to steady myself, then stumbled on out the door. The cool night air hit my face, but it didn't do much to clear my head. I walked deeper and deeper, the scene in front of me becoming blurry, moving only by instinct in the direction of my remembered home. At that moment, a familiar-looking figure suddenly walked in front of me, but helplessly my vision was so blurred, how could I not see the face clearly? A strong curiosity drove me to subconsciously want to come closer to look again, and as a result, my feet were unsteady, and I immediately jumped into the other person's arms. The other party reacted quickly and steadily caught me, and with a few teasing smiles asked, "Where is this drunken kitten from?" When I heard this, I was particularly upset and reached out to pull his face, retorting in a daze. " Who... Who's the kitty? You... You're my... " Halfway through my words, I didn't know what to say, my brain was a complete mess. Seeing him lower his head to look at me, I also tried to raise my head to look at him, and this time, I realized that he was particularly handsome. His sculpted three-dimensional features were perfect, two sword eyebrows were inserted diagonally into his temples, thick and straight, and a head of thick black hair was scattered casually, adding a bit more unruly temperament. A pair of deep brown eyes is like a mysterious pool, letting people fall into it and can not extricate themselves. The corners of the eyes are slightly upward, through a few charm points. Everywhere was just right, very much in line with the image of a gentle gentleman that I had been longing for in my heart. I looked at him stupidly, my eyes were dull and infatuated, in a trance I thought I was dreaming, the whole person completely lost his mind, that impulse inside made me involuntarily want to kiss him. However, he nimbly dodged away, my lips fell in empty space. My mouth still muttered an exclamation. " You... You're so handsome... I like it... Be my boyfriend... Yes... Boyfriend... Okay?" He didn't show the slightest bit of displeasure at my abruptness, but instead asked with a puzzled look on his face. " Do you know who I am? Little drunken cat. " I shook my head vigorously like a child, holding him tightly with both hands and not letting go, as if he would disappear as soon as I let go, and muttering. " I don't know... But I just love you! " "Okay, let's try it then." He gave me a deep look, one that was deep and focused, as if he was trying to see through my soul. For some reason, I somehow felt that he was sincere, and my heart was instantly filled with joy. Therefore, I got up happy and kissed him. I got up. This time he didn't avoid him, but responded to me tenderly and we kissed together. We are like children who have tasted the forbidden fruit for the first time, the action is very green, panicked and accidentally bit each other's tunes. He ended the kiss helplessly, panting slightly, and took the initiative to propose. " Okay, little drunken cat, let me take you home. Where is your home? " I was in a daze, but when I heard the word 'home', my emotions instantly flared up, and like an enraged lion cub, I desperately resisted. " No! I don't want to go home!... Don't!" My voice carried a sobbing tone, and my body began to wriggle and struggle unceasingly, as if going home was an extremely frightening thing. When I thought of the cold Ethan at home, my tears gushed out of my eyes uncontrollably and slid down my cheeks as my mouth kept repeating. "Don't go home, don't go home ..." The voice grew louder and louder, full of determination and resistance. Seeing that I was so unwilling to go home, he had no choice but to helplessly hold me and pat my back to comfort me. " Okay, okay, little drunken cat, don't cry, we're not going home, we're not going home, good boy. Tell me what your name is okay? " His voice was gentle and low, as if it had a magical soothing power. Like a child, I wiped the tears on my face willy-nilly on his shirt, then huffed out my name. " ... I'm Shirley, handsome. What's your name? " " You are so cute, my name is Alexander. Remember that name? Oh! Little drunken cat, I'll be your boyfriend from now on. " Alexander couldn't help but laugh, that laugh was bright and magnetic. As he laughed, he reached out his hand and moved with extreme gentleness to wipe away the tears left in the corners of my eyes. His fingers gently brushed my cheeks, bringing a tickling sensation. My red face, tightly embraced him not to let go, as if grabbing a life-saving straw in general. The moment I fell deep into his embrace, I smelled a very special fragrance on his body, which was mixed with the faint smell of tobacco and some kind of unknown perfume, unique and captivating, making me involuntarily intoxicated, and becoming more peaceful and relaxed inside. It was the first time in my life that I felt such a strong and reassuring sense of security in the arms of a man other than Ethan. His embrace was solid and warm, as if it could shield me from all the storms of the world. In the crook of his arm, my originally panicked and confused heart gradually calmed down, as if I had found a sheltered harbor. My heart involuntarily ignited a strong impulse, an impulse to take him as a spiritual support in the future. This impulse is like a blazing fire that cannot be contained. I long for the days ahead, no matter what kind of difficulties and setbacks I encounter, I can have him by my side, giving me strength and support. His presence fills me with anticipation and longing for the future, as if I have seen a ray of light in the darkness, making me want to hold on tightly and never let go again. "... Let's go to the hotel, Alexander. " I slowly lifted my head from his arms, my eyes carrying an overwhelmingly genuine fondness for him and a deep sense of expectation. The gaze was fiery and determined, as if it wanted to melt his entire being into it. But Alexander didn't immediately agree to my proposal; he frowned slightly, his gaze focused and scrutinized me with a probing look in his eyes, as if he was checking if I was still talking drunk. His gaze kept roaming over my face, trying to find a trace of a joke or confusion in my expression. Seeing that I looked serious, without the slightest hint of a joke, his originally relaxed expression instantly became serious as well. "Little drunken cat, you're drunk, don't use your drunkenness to tease me, I'll take it seriously." His voice was low and serious, with a hint of suppressed restraint, as if he was trying to resist the ripples that were stirred up inside by me.
