Donald looked up in exasperation, only to discover it was Karen. She was even angrier than Donald. She shouted, "Donald, are you crazy? What have you done?"
When he saw the look in Karen's eyes, his anger dissipated a little and he laughed, "Yeah, I'm crazy! Didn't you already know?"
Karen had never seen him look like this and she didn't know what to do. She was silent, she looked at him without moving then finally she helped Joanna get up and was getting ready to walk out. Donald immediately stopped them, "Where do you want to go?"
"I am taking Joanna to the hospital."
"You are not allowed to go or..." Donald said as if he was giving her an ultimatum. Karen turned to look at him, her frown deepened anxiously, "Or what? Do you really want her to die?"
