As for the other spectacle, this arena, like the Colosseum, had a false floor. A portion of the floor had been removed, revealing a huge aquarium. Prisoners were being herded at spearpoint towards the edge of this aquarium. The first to be prodded into it was Bob, closely followed by Tom. I knew what was coming next. When this group of prisoners was bobbing about in the water, a hatch would be opened in one wall of the aquarium and giant pike would be unleashed into it. The prisoners would thrash and scream and plead for mercy, but none would be forthcoming. Death would be a welcome, though not necessarily a swift, release from their torment.
