My parents returned to their own world, abandoning me and leaving me to grapple with the pain and loss. I was heartbroken, realizing that I had lost my parents forever. Their departure was a harsh reminder that I was now truly alone, and the grief was overwhelming.
My long-forgotten pain and past suddenly resurfaced, feeling like a fresh wound. But Troy was there to offer comfort and support. “Hey, Diana, come on! You don't need to feel bad. I understand you're hurt, but we can't change fate. Let's just keep moving forward - our future needs us,” Troy said, his arms wrapped around me in a warm embrace, trying to soothe my pain. The memories I had about my parents before Troy took me began to fade away, it was like I no longer needed them but I could still feel the hurt inside of me.
As my father and his soldiers traveled, they spotted Leo approaching in the distance. Mistaking him for a vampire, my father ordered his capture. Leo resisted and fought back, but my father's sinister plan to use him as bait was clear. He intended to exploit Leo for his own purposes, and Leo's struggles only seemed to fuel his determination.
Leo sensed he was in imminent danger. “Diana, if you can hear me, I'm in danger,” Leo's voice echoed in my mind through our mind-link. “Leo, is that you?” I asked, my voice laced with curiosity and concern. “What's wrong, Leo? Where are you?” I continued, my thoughts racing with worry. "Diana, I've been captured by some people," Leo said, his mind filled with worry. "Leo, can you read their thoughts and figure out where they're taking you?" I asked, trying to stay calm. But Leo wasn't able to tap into their minds - something was blocking his ability. "Leo, just hang on, I'll find you," I reassured him. "Try to focus your energy on your surroundings, and I'll see if I can pinpoint your location.” Leo tried to focus his energy, but the blockage was too strong.
He couldn't even tap into his surroundings. “Leo, you can do this, calm down and focus,” I encouraged him. Leo took a deep breath and concentrated hard, like he was meditating. This time, I was able to tap into his mind and sense his surroundings. I saw my father and his soldiers, and my heart raced with worry. “Leo, stay calm, I'm in, I can see where you are,” I reassured him through our mind link. “Troy will come for your rescue, I know where they're taking you.” My voice was laced with concern as i spoke to Troy. "Troy, I need you to promise me something.
You have to promise me you won't hurt anyone. Just get in, get Leo, and get out. No alarms, no fights. Please, Troy, just promise me that." Troy's expression softened slightly, but his eyes still held a hint of rebellion. "Diana, I promise. I'll just get Leo and leave. No drama, no fuss." My eyes searched Troy's face, hoping to find reassurance.
I knew Troy's tendency to seek revenge, and the last thing I wanted was for him to put himself or others in harm's way. "Troy, I mean it. You have to be careful. My parents...they're not people to mess with." Troy nodded curtly, his jaw clenched in determination. "I know, Diana. I'll be careful. I promise." As we spoke, the tension between us was palpable. My words hung in the air, a reminder of the delicate balance between our plan and the potential dangers that lay ahead.
The next day, we waited until the guards were asleep before Troy snuck in to rescue Leo. He moved stealthily, invisible to the guards, like a shadow.
When he finally reached Leo's cell, he called out softly, "Leo?" his voice barely audible.
"Who's there?" a deep voice replied. Troy's eyes widened in surprise. "Leo, it's me, Troy!" Troy was taken aback. "Troy, is that you? Diana told me you were coming," Leo said. The figure in the cell stood up, and Troy's jaw dropped. "You're... you're a grown man!"
Leo chuckled. "Yeah, I guess I've changed a bit since you last saw me!" Troy shook his head, still in disbelief. "Diana didn't tell me...I mean, I just expected..." Leo smiled. "It's okay, Troy. I know you're here to rescue me. Let's get out of here!" Troy nodded, still trying to wrap his head around the sudden change. "Right, let's move!" Troy's surprise was temporary, and he quickly sprang into action.
He freed Leo from his shackles, and they turned to make their escape. Just as they were about to slip away, a guard spotted them and reached for the alarm. But Leo was quick-thinking. He locked eyes with the guard and hypnotized him, rendering him immobile. "We need to move, now!" Leo whispered to Troy. Troy nodded, and they made a run for it.
With the guard temporarily neutralized, they managed to escape from my father's compound, buying themselves precious time. Troy and Leo arrived safely, but Troy's expression was stern. "Diana, did you know about Leo's real form?" he asked, his voice tinged with curiosity and a hint of accusation. I approached him, my hands extended in a calming gesture. "Troy, I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to hide it from you. I just thought Leo wanted to keep it a secret." But Troy was beyond consolation.
He shook his head, his eyes narrowing. "You should have told me, Diana. I had a right to know." I placed my hands on his chest, trying to soothe him. "Troy, please understand…" But he stepped back, his expression unyielding. "No, Diana. I need some time to process this." "How long, Diana?" Troy pressed, his eyes narrowing.
I hesitated, trying to downplay the situation. "Just a few days after his arrival." But Troy sensed I was hiding something. He took a step closer, his voice firm. "Tell me the truth, Diana." I felt cornered, my secret threatening to spill out. I tried to deflect, but Troy's gaze bore into me.
Suddenly, the words tumbled out, and I couldn't take them back. "Troy, I couldn't tell you about Leo's true form because...because I was drawn to him. I became attached, and we had an affair." The words hung in the air like a challenge. Leo's eyes widened in shock, and he took a step back, as if preparing for Troy's explosive reaction.
