Amara's POV
This time, Parker remained silent as he thought hard. He looked at me straight on and didn't try to hide his guilty eyes. The look of reluctance and uncertainty in his eyes told me he wouldn't tell me the truth.
Then I heard his deep voice, "It's not the right time to know who I really am, Amara."
"Why are you keeping secrets from me?" I snarled and bit my lower lip in anger. But he was just standing in front of me with a blank expression. Then I yelled at him, "You know everything about me, but I didn't know much about the guy I married!"
"Uh, that's why your dad doesn't want me to be with you," I gasped and nodded. Then I added with a bitter smile, "Because he knows the real you!"
