Amara’s POV TWO WEEKS LATER When we landed in Paris, France, a week earlier, I still had scratches and bruises all over my face. Because of fear that my relatives would judge me harshly for my appearance, my grandmother kept me hidden from them for over two weeks. Currently, I am staring at my reflection in the mirror; all of my bruises have already gone down, and a little concealer can help me hide the small one on the side of my face. I took a deep breath and chose some summer dresses I should wear today because my grandmother had organized lunch with all the family at the Villa today. Then I grabbed my bag and luggage to check out the hotel. My grandmother’s bodyguard came over to help me with my things, and after that, I finally settled inside the car with a heavy sigh. Final
