Amara's POV I felt a cold sensation go throughout my body as I gazed at the quietly smiling people around me; they seemed pleased to see my mother and me arguing over one man. I took a deep breath and said, "It's a long story." "Really? A really long story?!" She scoffed, then paused for a moment. Then she added, "Amara, I want to hear it from you! Why do you have to take my fiancé away from me?! Do you really think I'm pleased with what you have done?! What do you think? Huh?!" In a fit of anger, my mom grabbed a glass of wine and dumped it on me. I pressed my lips together in a thin line to calm down and not say anything. Then she spoke: "My dear, sweet daughter! I never thought you would lie to me like that! I gave birth to you, and you're such a selfish b*tch!" Hot tears drip
