Craig's words made me hold my breath. I was so relieved that she was okay and had been awake after being unconscious for a long time, but why do I think this could be the end of everything?
Given the circumstances surrounding my grandmother's death and the hasty choice to marry Parker, I can only imagine how furious my mother would be to hear the truth.
Craig sighed softly, then asked, "Do you want to see her today?"
I stepped back and exhaled softly, "Y–Yes."
After that, Craig opened the car door for me, and that's when I caught a glimpse of Parker, who was watching what I was doing. He stood there with a serious look on his face, and I told him, "I need to see my mom."
