Chapter 15

Jay POV

I picked her up and mom took Jaden who was crying his eyes out. The ambulance came and took her away. I was in a state I can't lose her, I have said so many horrible things to her and she has still stuck by my side. This is my fault. My dad drove me to the hospital and mom took Jaden home. I rushed in and found her room, she was still in the operation theatre.

I held my head and groaned, this is all my fault. I was pacing back and forth for an hour. She came out of surgery and she was still out cold, I want allowed to see her I had to wait till she woke up. I looked at the girl lying on the bed she was pale and looked sick. But I love her with all my heart, she saved my life and our son's life and I will never be able to make it up to her.

Mom brought Jaden here for a check-up a while later, Simi was still out cold.

"Daddy is mommy going to be ok" I nodded and held him in my arms.

The doctor came out, "Mr Duke, your wife is stable, and the bullet misses her organs so she is ok. I'm not sure you know because she is in early stages but your wife is pregnant"

I looked at him shocked, she was sick and I "Is the baby ok"

"Yes, she's about a month along it's too early to do an ultrasound but I checked and the baby has a healthy heartbeat"

"Thank you so much" I lifted Jaden up and hugged him tight.

"Why are you crying daddy" I was expecting another child these were tears of happiness.

"Jaden guess what, you're going to have a little brother or sister soon" Jaden's eyes lit up and he squealed.

"I'm going to have a little me" I rang Simi’s parents and told them all to come to the hospital.

"Mr Duke, your wife is awake" I told Jaden to keep it a secret.

We went in and I put Jaden on the bed.

"Mommy" he hugged her and I made sure he didn't hurt her by accident.

"Hey honey, how's my brave boy?" she was looking at the bruise on his head. She looked at me and I nodded.

"I had him checked he's ok" she took a breath "How are you?" I asked

"I'm ok I didn't think I would make it" she covered her face.

"I knew you would you had to not just for yourself but for all four of us"

"You mean three" I shook my head and Jaden giggled. He looked at me and I nodded.

He touched her tummy and put his ear on her "Mommy why can I hear it"

"What are you guy's on about"

Simran POV

"Mommy when's my little brother or sister coming" Jaden was dead serious.

"Oh my gosh" it clicked the sickness; he said four little brother or sister.

"Yes it's a good job I had the nursery finished" I smiled brightly I'm pregnant.

"I'm pregnant" I screamed I was so excited; I looked at Jaden who looked just as excited.

"Yes you are but for now you need to rest" he kissed me and I smiled at him. "I love you go to sleep for a bit I will be here when you wake up" I nodded and kissed him again. Even though I had been shot today was the best day ever.
