Chapter 14 - Skye

The next few weeks flies by and things are amazing.  I am back at the gym training with Johnny, the Customz account is ahead of schedule and Jess has been the best at work and after work our s*x life is off the charts.  I never realized there were so many positions and I have learnt that I love to have a dominant man in my bed, and to top off everything my nightmares are rarely occurring my dreams are too consumed with Jess.

"How is the new gym coming along?" I know I'm making small talk, but I don't want to just dive into my issues.

"Well the new cage is being put in tomorrow other than that there is much change since you came by the place last week.  This new gym is becoming a full time job and I seriously need to find a manager and trainer."

"I'm so proud of you and  once the new place is up and running all the hard work will pay off."

We order our food have another drink and talk some more about life in general once the food arrives Johnny stares at me as if he waiting on something.

"So are you going to talk or are we going to skip any conversation regarding Skye?" This is one of the reasons why I love my brother always to the point.

"Listen I don’t want to put you in the middle of things with Skye and I, but can I run some s**t by you because honestly I don't know what to do man?" I wait for my brother to give me the go ahead and explain to him how amazing the last month with Skye has been, how much I want this woman to be always by my side, including at work.  Not being able to hold her or something as simple as having lunch with her, I want to stop with the secrets and have her trust me enough to know I would not let anything, or anyone hurt her. Then I get into the fact that I have never, not once woken up to Skye.  Every night she either walks me to the door or leaves my bed with some bullshit excuse which is either her early rise for the gym or she is not ready to move there yet, I know it is because of the dreams she has which also pisses me off because she hasn't once told me about them and what happened to her when she was younger. Once I have said everything, I automatically feel lighter, and I knew just talking to Johnny about it was a perfect idea.

"Have you told her any of this?  I'm not asking to be an asshole, but she has been very vocal on how she is in this amazing relationship with her boss and happy she is about putting her fears aside and taking the leap."

"No, I haven't, every time I plan to talk to her, I look at her and forget everything I was planning on talking to her about. Johnny I am in so deep with her she is it for me!"

 I know my brother is right, so I figure tomorrow night I'm going to need to have a little discussion with Skye.

Last night Jess spent some time with his brother, and I stayed in and just has some me time, but I missed him so much that I only plan to train for a bit and head to the office early.  Mondays, Jess is always in before me and to be honest I just want to wrap my arms around him and if I'm there early enough no one else will be there, so I get my ass in gear and head to the gym.

"Morning, Good Looking." I yell over at Johnny and he stares at me as if I am crazy and I probably am because thinking about Jess makes be so happy.  I know that I'm falling for him and I never thought I would have this feeling ever again.

"Everything good Skye?  You seem to have a little bounce in your step this morning and you have never called me good looking before.  Not that I am complaining or disagreeing with you, I am easy on the eyes." Johnny is so smug sometimes but that's one of the traits I love about him and we have become more than friends I consider Johnny family and that is huge for me.

"So modest are you? Do you mind if we have a quick workout, I did get any time with my boss last night and I really want to get to work to see him?"

"I never knew you came out at work. Good for you, I told you it was in your head.  Come on I will beat you quickly than!"

"What? No, we never came out at work why would you assume that?" I can't move what Johnny just said has me frozen.

"s**t, sorry. When you said you wanted to get to work to see he who shall remain nameless, I thought you got over your work worries and decided you wanted to be with him fully." Johnny has his hands lifted in the air as if he is surrendering, I get my s**t together and enter the cage.

Shit that hurt, I was so focused on what Johnny just said I didn't notice his leg coming and now I'm on the f*****g ground and since my head is no longer in the game, I call it a day and get ready for work.  All the way to the office I keep replaying Johnny’s words and I know Jess has brought up us coming out at work before and I have been very headstrong on not.  He hasn't really mentioned it much lately which I didn't even noticed until Johnny mentioned it, does he no longer want us to come out at work and if he doesn't what does that mean for us? s**t I need to talk to Jess.

As I walk through the office, I notice that the place is empty, I head to my desk I see Jess has his lights on but he's not there which means he's in the coffee room.  I make my way down to meet him and when I get there his head is down reading something on his phone, so I take a moment to appreciate how sexy he is.  Today his hair looks like he's been running his fingers through it and he is wearing a grey 2-piece suit sans jacket just a vest today a crisp white shirt with the sleeve rolled up to his elbows a brown thick leather cuff on one wrist and that f*****g pocket watch God I want this man, so I walk over, and he hears me approaching and lowers his phone.

"Good Morning Ms. Anderson." It sounds like it is physically hurting him to say those words and it probably has been since the beginning and I have been so worried about myself that I never noticed.  As I stand in front of Jess, I can see the confusion in his eyes, I have never come into his personal space before at work, I clear that confusion when I reach up and wrap my arms around his neck and kiss him.

"I missed you last night." I whisper against his lips and he still looks confused, maybe I was wrong maybe he no longer wants to come out here. s**t! I pull back and just as I am about to apologize Jess reaches for me and wraps his arms around me.

"Not so fast, you approached me, I don’t want to assume anything so explain to me what you just did means Skye." His eyes are blazing with so much want, I lower my eyes because if I was wrong this is going to be so embarrassing.

"Oh, no Skye, I need your eyes on me I need to see you when you explain this to me." The heat in his stare is too much so I just tell him straight.

"I was at the gym and talking to my trainer about some stuff and he had mentioned that if he were with someone, he had really strong feelings for he would want her 100%, not just in private. That had me thinking that maybe I was being a little selfish, I want to be with you 100%…. I mean if you want me with you 100%?" I know I am rambling now, and Jess is just looking at me.

"Jess say something please, I mean we don't - " before I know it Jess is kissing me, I reach up and deepen the kiss.  When we break away, I look up and smile at this man that I am falling for a little more every day.

"Skye, you just made me so f*****g happy now! I want you all of you! Even at work, I want everyone to know your mine and it means a lot to me that you trust me with your heart.  I know that coming out here at the office is a big one for you, thank you."  he kisses me again.

I don't know why I was so worried Jess is still very professional throughout the day except he calls me Skye instead of Ms. Anderson and we have lunch together in his office which he picked up from the deli.

I am not sure what my little brother and Skye were discussing this morning, either way I appreciate it.  When I get back to my desk, I send him a quick message.

I am sure he wasn't expecting the text because I would never admit he was right, I guess giving Skye space to figure out her trust issues at her own pace was the way to go.  My phone immediately indicates I have a new message and it is from Johnny.

Why are you thanking me?

Whatever you and Skye talked about this morning got to her. We are now going to be open at work which means she is all in.

"I know we are head of the timeline I just a little longer and then I'll head home."

"You go get to the call Jess and I'll be there are soon as the coffee is ready."  I stand a little taller letting him know I won this challenge, and then he's gone.

"What just happened here?" Kim is looking like a fish out of water, and I wonder how long before the whisper take off.

"Don't play dumb with me he called you Skye and you dear God called him Jess! I never thought I would see the day!" I have to fight my smile, but I keep myself in check, Jess and I are going to have to have a conversation about what we want to do about how we come out at work.

"He calls you Kim all the time and the whole Ms. Anderson thing was something I insisted on and since we have been working really closely lately Skye was just easier." I can tell she is not buying my s**t.

"You called him Jess, Skye don't give me that s**t you have wanted that man for as long as I've known you and no one calls him Jess not even Senior Management. Spill it girl!" She looks like it's Christmas and she's about to get the best present, it's called gossip.

"Listen Kim, I need to get him his coffee before he comes looking for it. Talk later, okay?" I hope this will appease her somewhat and head for the door.

"Lunch Skye we are so doing lunch!" Kim yells from the coffee room.

When I place my coffee down I notice that Jess is actually on a call so I enter his room quietly, his chair is turn slightly so he doesn't see me approach until I place his coffee down and he looks up at me and lifts his finger for me to wait.

"Josh, can you hold one second?" he places the call on hold and grabs my waist pulling me onto his lap.

He is looking at me and I can tell that he's not sure of my answer, but I decided this yesterday and I am tired of not taking what I want. I am a fighter. I am not about to let these people or anyone for that matter affect me anymore.

"All. In. Jess." I lean in and kiss him once more and get off his lap smiling.

"Josh is waiting on hold" I say with a smile and head out of his office closing the door behind me.  As I approach my desk Kim is there with a smile on her face.

"Hey Kim, did you need something?" I asked aware by her face she was watching our whole exchange, let the rumors begin.

"Nope just came by to ask where you wanted to go for lunch, but from what I can see you may be busy" she says with a wink.

"I have just made lunch plans with you not even 10 minutes ago why would you assume I am busy now?" I know why but I want her to say it as I wait for her I notice Jess is now off his call.

"Well I wasn't sure if you made other plans during your "coffee delivery" to what do you call him now "Jess?"

"Okay first you need to stop with the finger quotes, and no Jess and I don't have lunch plans so if you still want to grab lunch we can hit the deli around the corner."

"Deli around the corner at noon sounds good, I want all the details." Kim says as she wiggles her eyebrows in a suggestive manner.

Once she leaves Jess opens his door and come up beside me

"Sorry she saw us, are you going to be okay with all this?" I can pick up on the concern in Jess voice

"All. In. Remember."

"Good" and he slaps my ass as he heads back in his office.
