Once we get home and Skye get comfortable, Johnny makes sure, she's okay just as a double check. We ate, watch some TV and I realize this is what a home should be like and that this is what has been missing from my life. Skye belongs here with me and I never want her to leave. After dinner we clean up and Johnny leaves us to head home and I could not be more grateful, although I love my brother, I need some alone time with Skye.
"Ready for bed Sweetheart?" I ask just as she yawns.
"Yes please." That is all it takes; I scoop her up in my arms and carry her to our bedroom. Well, my bedroom but I am going to make sure it becomes OURS real soon.
"Jess you know I can walk right?" She smiles and snuggles in closer to my chest.
