  Epilogue Braedyn paused before taking the trail into the glen. Waves crashed against the shore; a fine mist of sea spray caressed his cheeks as the sun lowered on the horizon. “What are you up to, Papa?” he murmured. Gilly had been acting strangely that morning, and now he and Finian hadn’t come home for dinner, and he’d brought Layla and the children to share it with them. He sighed and stepped into the trees, and frowned. The glen was empty. The blankets and pillows were mussed, food eaten, but there was no sign of his parents. Braedyn caught his breath.
