The mysterious Professor

Awkward...

After yesterday's dumb conversation. I am not very excited to attend today's Finance class. I shower, get ready and head to class with Hailey. Obviously I didn't tell her about my conversation with Mr. Green eyed delight. I just lied and said I needed to hand in paperwork in the admin office before I caught up with them at the coffee shop. I also never lied to her before, but I was too embarrased about the stupid party question. I have never attended a party in a club before and then asks my professor if he will attend. Stupid girl, I think to myself as I enter the classroom.

I immediately take out my notebook and pencil bag when I sit down, ready to get this over with. Stephan and Alfondso arrives with Mr. McMahon and we wave to them as they find their seats.

He doesn't waste any time and starts class as soon as his things are on his desk. I feel ashamed. Maybe it's the stupid party question that's got him in this mood. The lesson feels longer than before and just as he's about to finish he says "Miss Adams, please come see me after class". He dismisses the other students and I tell Hailey to wait for me outside as I walk up to his desk. Stupid girl I think while walking up to him. "You asked for me Sir", I ask shyly while standing infront of his big desk. Feeling incredibly stupid.

"I have prepared a list of page numbers for you to use with your book, the newer additions are quite the same as the one we are using, the pages just differ and they have extra added nonsense that we don't use" he says handing me the list. "Thank you Sir this will help alot as I can't find the older addition online" I say. "Have you checked the library?" he says with a smirk look on his face. "No Sir I have not been to the library yet" I say feeling even more stupid. "Probably because of the parties" he says with a serious and mocking tone. "I'm sorry for asking you about the party I think I just tried to make conversation" I say with a firmness in my voice. "I don't attend parties and this will be my first one" I say. "Oh, not the party type and also not the library type" he says in a mocking tone. "What do you do for fun then? Buy the wrong books online?" he says with a grin on his face. "I'm sorry for bothering you Sir , enjoy your weekend" I say while heading for the door. I feel like a total fool!

"What did he want?" asked Hailey as I stormed out and find her waiting in the hallway. "Gave me a list with page numbers as I don't have the correct addition" I say. "Okay cool, let's get a quick bite to eat and find some shops to buy outfits for tonight" she says as we walk out of the building. "Sounds great" I reply and let her lead the way.
