Chapter 25 He stopped, annoyed and frustrated, the trail disappeared as green grass covered the mud path. He looked around; he had been walking for almost an hour without even noticing how hot it was. He bent down to examine the grass before looking sideways with frustration. If it wasn’t for the shadow, he would not have noticed, a large shadow appeared atop of him blocking the rays and heat of the sun from smearing on his back. Patrick turned back quickly almost jumping but it was late, a heavy blow sent him falling backwards on the wet grass. “Ah…” he groaned, rolling slowly to his side.
