Svetlana now had to get a move on packing her suitcase. Although she had promised Frank to spend her last night in his company, she realised that she could not honour this last date. She still had to clean her room and finalize her souvenir purchases for her family. And there was that baggage to fill. Could it hold all the purchases that Svetlana had made during her stay? Handbags, clothes, cosmetics, knick-knacks, Franck’s gifts, French liquor for his father and uncle… There was a load of things to squeeze in that she did not have to transport while she was there. Her suitcase would be enormous. Her suitcase would be heavy. This prospect made her desperate.
