Chapter 21Ashley CHRISTMAS MORNING I was snoozing on the couch when Natalie opened the door. A book lay on the floor, a napkin acting as bookmark. The title, written in orange on a photo of the Milky Way, announced quantum physics as the subject. As she retreated to the kitchen, I said, “Merry Christmas. What time is it?” “Six thirtyish. I'll make breakfast. Learn anything?” I told her that I had thumbed through and read a few parts.
