Chapter 28Linda NO ONE COULD better understand Eric's obvious fear than I. Fritz never understood how much I dreaded something going wrong. And now, no doubt remains. Whatever had happened, Fritz and Ashley were lost somewhere in the past. Judging from the silence at the table, we were all processing Eric's story in our own ways.
