“Everyone get in order,” Rowan commanded, looking smug as I walked over to him. He didn’t even hear me until one of the warriors motioned with his eyes.
When he turned around, he gave me a bright, almost sarcastic smile, and the twinkle in his eyes was surely hard to miss. I knew where all this morning glow was coming from, and I was here to watch it with my eyes and relish as it all goes to hell.
