Davian The night air did nothing for the headache. I stepped out because staying inside felt worse. It had been one long, shitty day. Owen’s mess. Rowan barely holding himself together. Lily finding out about Lera in the worst way possible. And me standing under the same roof as her, unable to explain any of it. My head wouldn’t quiet down. I walked a few steps away from the entrance, running a hand through my hair. I should have handled it better. I should have told her the moment I saw her again who Lera was, what that arrangement meant, and what it didn’t. But it all happened so fast, and afterwards Lily had smartly ignored me. I sighed as I walked ahead, rubbing the back of my neck. My thoughts wouldn’t settle. Every time I tried to focus on one problem, another forced its way in.
