Cold and black. My body wrapped in lightless liquid cold. And flying down. No idea what had happened to Vuud and Landers. Boom. The back of my leather covered head strikes rock. I was falling, the battling currents whipping me along bending and twisting me like a tube of soft wax in the hot sun. I felt I had to put up some resistance keep my body tensed so it wouldn't be snapped. Down. Speeding crazily fast down; out of control. Then I began to worry about breath even before it ran out. How long this breathless hurtling? The passage seemed to be bending to the right, then down. Then up a little. Maybe levelling a little. Still deep and black. I was really in need of air. Suddenly a flash of sunlight through water. Then dark again. I was desperate. My body was crying to be granted breath,
