Millie knocked softly on the heavy wooden door before opening it and stepping hesitantly into the study. Her shoulders were slumped, and she looked worn out, with red, puffy eyes and recently dried tears on her cheeks. The moment she entered, her eyes landed on Ethan’s assistant.
