The Undeniable Werewitch

To the mountains

A day or two later, I finally felt confident enough to teleport Davin and I where we needed to go. I had done as much research as I could on each location, to learn the best place to arrive at. I have mental images of them all and hope that i can get as close to if not accurate to them. The first place we are heading is to the mountains. I am looking for a crystal that is in a place only known to a few witches and warlocks on a moutain called Mt. Voyer. Legends says the crystals just appear every few years. They have immense power to bend light as if its the sun itself.

"Be careful kid." Luther says as he envelopes me in a hug. "Always Luther" he is the only family I have left. "You be safe to, they may come back here and if they find you, you will be their target since you helped me before." I look up at him and he just simply smiles. "I know. I've already put crystals all along the border of the woods. They won't be coming anywhere near here." he doesn't have the crystal I need of course, but he crafted ones to bend light enough to scare vampires but not burn them like the mountain crystals will. I smile back at him and give him one final hug, "we will come visit soon." Davin says behind me while shaking Luther's hand. "You are always welcome here! And I will stand by you when you fight Corbin" "Thank you Luther" Davin nods.

We step back from Luther and Davin grabs our stuff, I take a moment to focus on the place I found where the crystals are. I invision stepping only a few feet away from them. I can see them right in front of me. I bring my hands together and I feel Davin grab my waist, I smile and slowly pull my hands apart. I feel the warmth spread through my body and a second later, cold. I open my eyes and I did it, I landed us in the exact spot I was hoping for. Sighing in relief and very proud of myself, Davin pulls me closer and kisses the side of my head. "I'm so proud of you! You truly are amazing." I look up at him, "thanks babe." He let's go of my waist and takes my hand, we head to where the place is that the crystals are. As we near it, I stop. "Babe, what's wrong?" Davin stops beside me. "Its surrounded by silver spikes." "What? Where? I don't see anything." "They are in the ground hidden like mines. If you step on or near one, they will stab you." I'm still staring at the little hut in front of me. There has to be a way to get through. I can't levitate over them bc I don't know where they all are. I need a way to reveal where they are. I could hide Eva, my wolf, and get through with my witch blood but I can't leave Davin out here. I could use drops of blood but that may attract anything close to this area and I have no idea who or what is out here. I'm so deep in thought I didn't hear Davin calling my name. "EVERLY!!" He roars. "Shhh. I don't know who is close to this area Davin" I say "I've been trying to get your attention for 5 minutes." "I'm sorry, I'm just trying to figure out how to get us in." "I thought the amulets made us smell like humans?" "Smell yes, but we still feel like wolves, our body weight would set them off" "Can't you levitate us over?" "Not without seeing where they are. I could land on one." We go back and forth of ideas, I can't use earth ability because that would shake them and they would go off. I don't know any spells to mask a wolfs blood, I only know how to surpress my wolf, and i don't know any spells to make us light enough to not trigger any spikes. Then one hits me. "If I use some wind to reveal where they are, I can find a path through." I stand and face the hut, I suck in some breath and slowly blow it out moving my head side to side. It worked as it revealed about 20 spikes and a small narrow path going straight through. Davin gets behind me and we make our way down the path, halfway down, I take another breath and slowly blow it out side to side, revealing more spikes and the path turning to the left. We continue down the path and I yet again blow more wind. revealing the path to the door. We make it to the door and I turn the knob. I peer inside to make sure there are no more traps. We step through the door to find wall to wall covered with crystals. They shimmer ever so slightly as light shines through the roof. "How many do we need?" Davin asks me. "Only one" I say. He grabs one of the shelf and places it in the cloth i had brought to protect each item. "One down, 3 to go."
