Time to leave

After we get down from the bookshelf, we make our way to his room. Hand in hand, we couldn't be happier. I smile up at him so giddy and he just smiles back just as happy. As we round the corner, I smell her before we see her. Carla. We really don't have time for this chick Eva says and i can see her roll her eyes and put her head down in her paws. "There you are! I've been looking everywhere for you." She comes prancing over and stops in front of my mate, throws her arms around him and tries to kiss him. He pushes her back and I instinctively step in front of him. She looks at me and glares. "Aren't you the kitchen Omega?" she says. "Future Luna actually." I say back. Her eyes grow wide. "I'm sorry. who do you think you are? Trying to claim what is mine?" she spits at me. "Davin isn't yours. He never was. You will be wise to remember that." I say calmly, even though my thoughts are saying something else. I have been working on controlling my powers now that I am stronger. She is making it very hard though to not unleash them. "And you think he is yours? You are an Omega." she insults. I go to lunge at her but I'm grabbed by a strong pair of arms. He pulls me back into his chest. Shes not worth it. You know who you are. You don't have to stoop to her level. he says through mindlink. "Carla, we are nothing. There was never anything between us. We had one night and all we did was kiss. Everly is my mate and if you disrespect her, you disrespect me." There is no way I'm going to let her have him I'm pretty sure I just heard her thoughts because she definitely didn't say that out loud. Instead she plasters on a fake smile and says "I'm so happy you found your mate! I hope I find mine soon too." she turns and walks away. I already found my mate and I will have him. That stupid Omega doesn't know who's she's messing with. Ok, I'm now 100% sure I heard her thoughts. I can read minds now? I look up at Davin and he gives me a confused look. We need to talk in private now I mindlink. He doesn't say a word, just takes my hand and walks me into his room. He shuts and locks the door as I walk to the couch by the window and sit down. He doesn't say anything, just pulls my legs into his lap and starts to rub my legs. "I can read minds" I state, still looking out the window. He just stares at me. Is that a joke? " No babe, I'm not joking." His eyes widen in shock. "Yup.I heard you." I never once looked away from the window. He lets out a breath. "So this is a new power?" he asks. "I guess so" "So what else can you do?" this is the first time he's ever asked me about my powers. "Well, besides control over all the Elements, I can levitate, super speed, telekinesis and well now read minds. I've studied everything I can about witches over the years and I can cast spells as well as make artifacts." I finally look at him. His face is in awe looking at me. "You are a very powerful being." "Yes I am. And legend says that the one who is mated to the Monarch will become the most powerful Werewolf in the history." That definitely caught his interest. A smirk forms on his lips, "You mean I'll become powerful too? Like have abilities too?" "I'm not sure what abilities you will possess, but being wolf, probably your senses will become heightened even more than you are now." "When?" I shrug. "I'm not sure honestly. I've already shifted and we're mated so I thought it would've happened by now. But it is just a legend. Since I am the first werewitch to survive this long and find my true mate, no one knows for sure. Only time will tell." He seemed a bit disappointed in that.

After a while, I got up and walked to the door. "Where are you going?" Davin asked following me. "To make the artifacts and pack. It's time to leave and get what I need for the potion. We have a Vamp Werewolf to kill."
