Convincing the Alpha

"You're WHAT?" Alpha Luca voice boomed. Luna Zoe places her hand on her husband's shoulder to calm him. He slowly settles and placed his hand over hers. He looks up at her and she leans down and places a kiss on his lips. A smile forms on his face as he turns back to us. "Alpha, I need to tell you something." I respond looking at him. Davin squeezes my hand Are you sure? Davin, he's your father and my Alpha, until we take over. He has a right to know. He nods his head and turns back to his parents. "Alpha, I am not just a werewolf, I am the Monarch." confusion is all over their faces. So I continue. "a Monarch is known as a werewitch that can not only control all of the elements, but I have other abilities as well." They both stared at me with no expressions. I wasn't sure what to think. Davin gave my hand a reassuring squeeze and nodded for me to continue. I took another breath, "There is someone after me. His name is Corbin, he is a vampire Werewolf and has been after my family for years. My blood has the ability to heal, among other things. However, when you kill a Monarch, their blood becomes useless. He held one of my aunts over 300 years ago, claiming him as her true mate. And when she found out the truth, she created a potion to paralyze him and kill him for good. She died before being able to do it. Now I don't have all of the ingredients to create the potion so I need to leave and get them before he finds me." "We need to leave." Davin stated with purpose. I looked over at him and he just gave me a look that said "there is no negotiating this" I sighed and turned back to the Alpha and Luna. I knew she was special. My daughter in law. a smile forms on the Lunas face and I realize I had heard that thought from her. After a few minutes, the Alpha speaks, " How long will you be gone?" "I believe 2 weeks. I have mapped out where the items are and if we go in our wolf form, we can go faster." I responded. "I intend to put a barrier up and it will notify me if anyone that is of vampire or Werewolf blood is close." I continued on. I keep my eyes focused on Alpha Luca. He looks at me and smiles, "While I am not happy that you both are leaving, I understand that you are trying to protect us. I will send a few guards..." "No!" I said that with a bit more force than i meant. "I'm sorry Alpha, this needs to be me. If I could get Davin to stay I would but he won't. I cannot allow more to come with me. This need to be a secret, the less people who know where we are or what we are doing, the better." I continue on, "I will not put anyone else's life on the line for me." He smiles again at me, "Spoken like a true Luna, you would do anything to protect your pack." He seems deep in thought. "Alright, you have 2 weeks to get what you need and come back. If you are not back, I'm coming to find you and help you myself. You are my daughter now and I will protect you." My heart swells as I hear these words come from him. We are not alone anymore Lee Eva says to me. I smile I am not alone I repeat to myself.
