Its early the next morning. Davin and I decide to leave when everyone was still sleeping, except those on patrol, to avoid any questions. If anyone notices that we are missing, the story is that we are visiting neighboring packs to introduce ourselves as the future Alpha and Luna. We grab our bags and head downstairs. All seems quiet until we reach the door. "Where are you going?" that voice is just so annoying. I roll my eyes and Davin turns to face Carla. "As the future Alpha and Luna, we are going to visit neighboring packs to introduce ourselves." Carla pouts and stalks over to Davin, completely ignoring me. She places her hands on his chest, "I am the future Luna, I should be going with you." Is this chick serious right now? "I don't know what kind of spell this Omega put on you to make you think she's your mate, but I will find a way to break it." She states while leaning up to kiss his cheek. He pulls out of her way and backs up so she's not touching him. Without saying a word, he turns and takes my hand and we walk out the door. We need to head to the garage and get a car. Shell most likely follow us and if she sees us shift and run into the woods, she'll know we're lying he mindlinks me. We can head into town and stop at the inn just past our border, then have Blaine come bring it back I say back. He nods and we head to the garage. We go over to his 1969 Chevy Camaro and get in. He puts the key in and it roars to life. "I can feel her watching us" I turn to him and say. He takes my hand and hits the accelerator. We zoom out of the garage and towards the border. Once we go through the border, I say a chant to create the barrier to surround the entire land. A few minutes later I grab my bag and hand him an amulet. Its a white gold chain with a red wolf hanging from it. I hand it to him and he puts it on. "What does this do?" "It will mask our scents, anyone who smells us will think we are human. I also created it to do a few other things, but it only works once activated." I smirk. I take my amulet out and put it on. Its a white gold chain with a black wolf. We travel in silence for about 10 minutes when we reach the inn. I have stayed here a few times in my past and know the owner. We walk up to the door and just as I'm about to open it, the door flies open. An older man is standing on the doorway, Davin instinctively pulls me behind in in protection, "I wasn't sure if that was you. Why do you smell like a human?" his deep voice booms. "Good to see you too Luther. I am on a search of 4 items that will help me kill Corbin." Davin grabs me and pulls me away, "Why are you telling him what we are doing?" "How do you know him?" he questions. "Luther is my uncle." Davin just stares at me. "You have an uncle? How did we never know about him?" "Because he's a Warlock. After I found out that I was part Witch, I dug through my family line and discovered I had a few witches and warlocks in my family. Most are unfortunately died or don't live here, but luckily I found Luther." I take Davins hand and walk back over to Luther. "Luther, this is my mate Davin." He extends his hand and Davin shakes it. "Pleasure kid. I'm so glad she found you. The Monarch becomes stronger once she finds her mate." "She also becomes a target Uncle." I remind him. "I don't think we should be talking out in the open like this" Davin reminds us. "Right, head around back to the cabin. make yourself at home, I'll be back there in 20." Luther turns and walks back inside. Davin and I grab our bags and head to the back. As we near the cabin, I get an eery feeling that we are being watched. I look around but see no one however I can feel them. We are not alone. Keep your guard up. I mindlink Davin Luther, we are gonna need stakes. We have company.
