I pull out of his grasp and start walking to the Pack House. "You're leaving?" He practically shouts at me, keeping pace with me. "Yes Davin, its the only way to keep you and our pack safe. Once I shift, I become even stronger than I am now. And if we mate, we will become the strongest couple and our bond will be unbreakable." I say back. He grabs my arm and stops me. I look at him as he looks at me with utter shock, "And why is that a bad thing?" he questions. "Because I become a target." I answer and start walking away,l again. For some reason, I get this eerie feeling like I'm being watched. He follows behind me as we head to the packhouse. "Then I will go with you" He states. "I will protect you. Just please don't leave me" I spin around and stare at him. He looks at me with pleading eyes and for a moment I want to just stop and grab his face and kiss him. I want to wrap my fingers in his long brown hair and grab him like my life depends on it. I want to say yes to him and love him with every breath in me. I want to mate with him, mark him as my own. But I can't. "You are the future Alpha, you need a mate who isn't going to be coveted. This pack need a Luna who will keep them safe, not put them in more harm" I responded back. He grabbed my hands, "I need you. I will not survive without you by my side. This pack needs a Luna who will fight for them with everything she has in her" "I can't Davin. I've lost to much already. I can protect myself. I cannot protect everyone from what's coming after me if I am found." I take my hands away and run into the house, holding my tears. I reach my room and lock the door, throwing myself into my bed. Sobbing into my pillow, I hear Eva Mate can protect us. We can protect them. We don't have to be alone anymore Everly. I just continue to sob until sleep takes over me.

I open my eyes to darkness. How long did I sleep, I think to myself. As I go to get up, I can't move. I look at my hands and see they are tied down, my legs too. What the hell, I think. Eva? I try to call her, but no response. Davin? I try him, still nothing. "No one can hear you my love" an unfamiliar voice says. "Who are you?" I ask, a hint of fear in my voice. "I am your true mate" says the voice again. In a flash a man's face come straight into my face, with a smirk he has a scar on his left cheek, with jet black hair and black eyes, "I will find you my love" "NO!" I scream and jump out of bed. My door comes off its hinges as my mate rushes into the room to me. He engulfs me in his arms and my heart starts to slow. "You're ok baby. I'm here. You're safe." He says as he rubs my back and gen rocks me in his arms. I wrap my arms around him and squeeze so tight, "Are you really here?" I ask, fearful I'm still dreaming. "Yes baby, I'm here. I told you I am with you to the end. I will protect you and I will go where you go." He says with a smile playing on his lips. I chuckle and let go to look up into his eyes. He puts a piece of hair behind my ear and gently touches my chin. The electric tingles I feel as he touches me are amazing and I just stare at him. As he continues to move down my arm, I let out a soft moan and close my eyes. He continues to touch me gently as he looks into my eyes. All of a sudden, he leans down and brushes his lips on mine. I close my eyes and take my hands and intertwine them in his hair, as I lean up for another kiss. We start with sensual kisses as they turn more passionate, I know I need to stop, but I don't. I need him, just as much as he needs me.
