“Yes, let’s stop. But what are we wrapping?” asked Amal.
“To wrap things up means to bring things to a close,” said Stuart. “Before I drive you up the wall.”
“Yes, I remember that one. And you’re doing exactly that,” said Amal. “Besides the slang words, there are the difficult conjugations of your irregular verbs. I’ll never remember them all.”
“You mean like I go, I’m going, I have gone, I went?”
“Yeah, that one and several others. They’re impossible to remember.”
“Don’t worry,” Stuart assured him. “After a while it will be a piece of cake.”
“Cake? We’re having cake if I get them all right?”
“Okay. I’m fine
