Chapter Two CASS When I woke the next day—the day we were set to travel—sunlight was already filtering through the curtains and warming my face. I lay there, reveling in the joy and excitement that flooded through me. It had been so long since I’d traveled, and I didn’t even care that Stavrok would be babysitting me the whole time. It was a clear, bright day. I was itching to set out on our journey.
