I wanted to kick Kai out of my room the second my mom left, but the stubborn i***t refused to budge.
He just stood there by the door, arms crossed, looking at me like I was the one being unreasonable.
“Kai, seriously. Get out. I need space,” I said, pointing at the door.
My voice came out tired but feisty, because after everything today— the woods, the kiss, the stuff I overheard—I was done pretending I was okay with him sleeping in here.
