2020 Dangerous times

Chapter VIII

                                                                                       Adrian's plan

                The virus was launched in Wuhun, China in December 2019 and has since spread very easily and even caused several thousand deaths. The biggest researchers in the world started working on an antivirus, and that was good news for everyone, only now they were going to deal with an even bigger problem. Hook managed to persuade the strong president to increase his guard for the "ball" that could launch the nuclear missiles. The other countries were not so easy to convince, many of them did not even take them seriously, and Russia was one of them.

                 Adrian had to be stopped in any form, but how? No one knew where he was, and the time he gave himself had reached 50 hours and was still falling. Helga finally came to her notice and announced that Adrian had been seen at the airport in America, more precisely LAX. Without thinking, the three immediately left for LAX airport, from where they were to follow Adrian. In just 15 hours they landed at the airport where they received a call from Helga on the tablet saying that Afrian took a taxi to Universal studios Hollywood and that Chris Helsing was instinctively informed of his and their arrival. . Without thinking, they got in the car waiting for them and started in the same direction. At the Universal headquarters, the three were expected by Chris, who smiled at them a little.

             - What if he leaves with you?

             - We'll follow them from a distance. We can't afford to start a fight with him when he's surrounded by gunmen with their hands in their teeth, Hook said.

             - How do you know how armed you are?

             - They are mobsters, and he is looking for a very dangerous explosive, they would be too stupid not to be armed. I thought you learned something else.

            - Sorry ... It's just that we can't let him escape. Even if we stop the nuclear war and it's free, we still have the problem with the explosive, David said.

            - That's why we have to do everything calmly. We can't afford to be wrong, said Mihaela, putting her hand on his shoulder.

            They waited a few minutes in which they noticed that Adrian was left alone and was heading for his room, and the three of them prepared their pistols and set off for the hotel. They were not far from the entrance to the hotel when two black cars stopped a few meters away, from which came out five armed individuals, not pistols and machine guns, who started firing at David and his colleagues. They jumped behind cars and started firing too,

           The noise that occurred, alerted Adrian who had come out on the blackboard of the room where he sees his friend and former colleagues. Without thinking, he returned to the room and after a few seconds he was in the hotel lobby, he saw David looking at him. David, without refraining, pulls the pistol in his direction and starts firing, making Adrian avoid and throw himself behind an armchair. When it was time for David to reload his pistol, Adrian took advantage and headed for the back exit.

             - We're getting rid of it, David said.

             - There are still people there, at least six, Hook said.

            - David, we can give you a few seconds to go after him, but you have to promise me two things.

             - I will take care…

             - And that, but don't kill him. We need him alive.

            - Get ready, Hook said.

              Hook pulled out his second pistol and with Mihaela got up and started firing at the two cars, and at that moment David took the opportunity and ran to the entrance of the hotel which was destroyed, being made of glass. He jumps inside fixed in the second when a bullet passes him. Mihaela shouted at him scared that he had been injured and angrily shot and hit two people in the head, then sat back behind the car that was almost destroyed and looked in the direction of David who signaled that he was fine.

              David gets up and immediately goes after Adrian, leaving the two to deal with the three mobsters alone. He manages to reach him under the highway which is a short distance from the hotel.

           - Wait, Adrian, David said.

            But he doesn't stop which makes him have to fire a warning g*n up. Adrian stops, raising his hands and then turns to face him.

            - And what are you trying to do? You can't shoot me.

            - Don't force me. Teach me, and I promise you'll be all right, David said.

            - Surrender? Whose side are you on? You do NOT see what is happening, the world is slipping, country by country and no one does anything, not even these knights who think they are descendants of the Dacians.

              Adrian got up and got in the car that was pulled just a few meters from them and left. David tries to get up once more and falls, lying down, losing consciousness. Eventually he opens his eyes a little and sees Mihaerla standing next to him, and Hook stood guard ready for anything.

          - What happened? Mihaela asks.

          - I was talking to Adrian and someone hit me in the back of the head, David said.

          - Don't get up so fast. Your blood is still flowing. Do you have any idea who it might have been?

          - He was the most wanted mobster in the world in the car. Mark the "ruthless" Tary. The situation has become much worse than we expected. He is determined to destroy the world, David said as he stood up leaning on Miheala.

           - Because of the knights. Because he doesn't move fast enough to save the world. She wants the start from the beginning, just like it did with Noah.

             - But that's not the Illuminati's path. What the hell is he doing?

             They took another car and went straight to the White House where the president was waiting for them. They had less than 30 hours until Adrian's term expired, but their meeting made Adrian speed up his plan. Russia has a feared power and it is not a game, if it attacks the whole of America, the European Union will declare war on you against Russia, and this will be a horrible war for you, exactly what Adrian wanted.
