2020 Dangerous times

Chapter IX

                                                                                          Agent Bond

               At midnight in the port of Odessa stops a black 7 series BMW from which Adrian and Mark get off. He looked out to sea at a ship coming towards them. After anchoring the ship, Mark's men began unloading the crates with explosives and putting them in a van.

               - What are you going to do with so much explosive?

               - Revolution.

               - Yeah. It's your business to do, said Mark, who didn't take him seriously. As long as you pay me, I don't care. You will receive the keys when you transfer money to my account.

                - By the way. There will be no money. You have a choice, either you get in the car or your trip ends here, Adrian said.

                - Here you go? Do you think you can threaten me? Guys kill him!

                - Do you really think you still have that power? Your people are mine now. You see, human nature, no matter from which corner of the world it is, joins you to the best, and at the moment I am.

                - You'll pay for it, Mark said, heading for the car.

                 And at that moment Adrian pulled the trigger and shot the mafia leader directly in the head, falling. Then he ordered him to throw it into the sea and finish loading the car. The place was not safe and they had to move as fast as possible. After loading the cars, they went to his hiding place in Bihor County, in the Mezied cave. Shortly after their departure, the police and gendarmerie arrived at the scene where they would find a ship full of corpses, but also Mark, who was floating a short distance away. The President of the USA received the three in the oval office and listened to them without saying anything, after which he got up from his chair and turned with his face to the window.

                - And what would you like me to do? Russia has declared war only through the preparation of nuclear weapons.

               - As head of state, you have to talk to the president of Russia and stop this madness, Mihaela said.

              - The president of Russia is very stubborn, you can't make him stop what he has set in motion… it is impossible.

               - Nothing is impossible, you can do anything you want, David said. Is that what you want?

               - It would be interesting, but no, said the president as a lady in black entered the door and stood beside him. This is Martha, the head of MI6.

               - Hello, ladies and gentlemen. Mr President, our agent is infiltrating Russia's nuclear base.

               - Perfect.

               - Agent?

              - Yes, Martha said as she put a phone on the president's desk for everyone to hear. Mr. Bond, what's the situation?

               - The situation is worse than we expected. In short, it is not the hand of the Russian president of this attack, but someone else's. It seems that one of the generals of the Russian army has control.

              - Are you sure about that, Bond?

              - Yes, unless the Russian president tied himself to a chair, whoever you were.

              - I've heard of you, you should try harder to keep the world quiet. I will try, now I will interrupt the communication and I will contact you in detail.

               Bond hung up, leaving the oval office quiet. David didn't know what was going on, because his mind was only on Bond movies. Everyone waited in silence as Bond tried to save the Russian president but also to stop this nuclear attack that was about to begin. The mission was difficult because any wrong move would be catastrophic. The president was well guarded, making Bond pay more attention to his next move.

            His first step was to save him and then stop launching the rockets. He pulled his pistol from the bar, put on the shock absorber, and aimed his weapon at the two guards at the dungeon door where the president had been taken, and shot them in the head, jumping quickly to catch them so as not to make a fall noise. He set them down, then looked in the blood and to the right, then knocked on the door. From inside the cell you can hear footsteps approaching and start to open the door lock, then open the door slightly and pull out the g*n in front of the cell. But when he's gone out long enough, the guard wakes up with Bond's g*n on his head, gesturing for him to shut up, and pulls him out the door. The other three looked at each other and then two of them went out of the cell while the third remained next to the president.

            Bond had killed both of them, and only he and the guard who defended the president remained. The guard lifts the president to his feet, puts him in front of him and puts the g*n behind his head and then addresses Bond.

          - Come out to the light to see you differently…

          - Otherwise what? Let's talk about civilized people. Are you able to kill your president and become the number 1 public enemy? said Bond.

           - I must follow orders, said the soldier.

           - Seriously? If you kill the president or let the general start a nuclear war, you're dead, Bond said.

           - Listen to him, said the president. If you let me go and help us put an end to it, I'll ignore it.

            - And how do I know you'll keep your word?

            - You were already dead, Bond said. Now choose: help us or you know.

             The soldier thinks, looks at the president, then at Bond, and finally puts the g*n down and lets go of the president, who picks up the g*n and points it at him, and without Bond acting, he shoots him dead. Betrayal was not something so easily accepted by the president, he was one of the most ruthless people, it is not in vain that he leads a strong country from all points of view.

           - Damn it. Now they've all heard us. Come on, Bond said, pulling his arm.

           - How dare you talk to me like that? I'm the president.

           - Blah Blah, if it weren't for me you would be a dead president. Now let's see how we stop the missiles, Bond said.

            While Bond was dealing with the situation in Russia, and David and his comrades were trying to find Adrian to end the "war" he had created, the virus that appeared from the direction of China was making more and more victims. No one knew how to stop this epidemic.

           Doctors worked non-stop to treat the sick, and law enforcement did everything they could to keep people in the house. The world stopped and the planet began to recover after man destroyed it. China's polluted air began to get cleaner, dolphins began to appear in the waters of Venice.

           But the planet, nature had other plans. She wanted to recover completely, to heal the wounds we new people had inflicted on her, launching a new virus into the world that was much stronger than covid-19. We became her number one enemy.

              Bond finally made it to the guard room where the general preparing for the nuclear attack was ready to press the button. Bond dropped the two guards and held out his weapon to the general, who had raised his hands.

              - Away from the equipment, Bond said.

              - General, let him tell you, and I promise that your punishment will be easier for treason.

             - Look who's still alive, the general said. Too bad, Mr. President, I do what needs to be done, and you don't have the courage to finish.

            - Stop it! Listen, President, and stop. You have a choice: press the button and die instantly, or stop and crawl, Bond said.

           - Do you really think he's as forgiving as he says? People that he destroys the world, so the Illuminati will stop this chaos that will create in the world.

             As Bond tries to stop the general, the president sees an opportunity to bend over a g*n from one of the fallen guards and without hesitation shoots the general in the head, causing Bond to startle.

           - What you did?

          - What needed to be done. I do not accept betrayal, the president said as he walked to the attack button.

          - You shouldn't have done that, I needed information from him. Now stop launching.

          - It would be so easy to water, said the president. You know one way or another he's right. To stop chaos you have to make the greatest sacrifice in the world…

           - Sir, you're just not thinking about continuing what he started, Bond said as he raised his weapon at him.

            As the president looked at the button ready to press on, he leaned back and looked at Bond.

           - Relax. If I'm going to start a war, I'm going to start on my own terms, said the president as he canceled the order.

           The missiles had stopped and the danger was over. Bond announced his own president to reassure him, a great danger was over. David and his comrades were urged and offered to return to their country before it was too late, they would be contacted in case Adrian appeared in the USA.

           On the way to Romania, David watched the news about what was happening in the world, he didn't think you could get that far. Italy was the most affected by this virus that has taken over the world. What made him even more nervous was that his strong leaders acted far too late with the emergency order. Thousands of people returning to the country are taken as suspected carriers of the virus, people locked up in their homes, closed jobs leaving people out of work or paid 75% of their gross salary. The time between their landing at the airport and their arrival at the headquarters was shorter due to the fact that the streets were no longer so busy. Although panic made its mark on the whole world, David and the others still saw whole shots of the wood from the cut forests, which made him even angrier. When they arrived at the headquarters, Helga greeted them with another problem, telling them that while China was beginning to recover from this epidemic, another, much more dangerous virus had also appeared in this country.

            - While people are looking for an antidote for covid-19, we're being attacked by another, Helga said.

           - Cursed be Adrian, David said, punching the table. It is not enough that he put on a virus, that he threatened the world with a nuclear war, that he took C4 and TNT enough to destroy a continent, he had to release another virus.

           - Maybe he wants to stop us from planting bombs, Mihaela said.

          - I don't think so, Helga said. This virus, as far as I know, is not man-made.
