Charlie was somewhat related to the founder of Ridgeco. The actress had often mentioned to others that her aunt was married to Ridgeco's chairman, and she had acted superciliously by using that connection as an advantage. Furthermore, Vicente would soon become the chairman's son-in-law. It was only natural that Charlie would know him.
