"It's alright," Vicente replied impassively.
He was already used to Esther's willful behaviour. Having dinner with the Faulkner family felt like a duty to him now. He even felt more at ease when Esther was not around.
"Vicente, you should eat more. This braised fish is prepared specially for you."
For Esther's sake, Brylee had always treated Vicente warmly. It was also one of her ways to make up for her daughter's misdemeanours.
Vicente nodded slightly and tasted the dish unhurriedly.
As usual, Jimmy discussed some matters related to business with him. Halfway through the meal, Jimmy received a call from his assistant saying that there was an urgent issue at the company. So, he had to leave in a hurry.
In the end, Vicente and Brylee were the only ones left in the dining room.
