"Mr. Matthews, Ms. Faulkner's condition is worsening!" Dr. Ballard came running over and informed Vicente in an anxious voice, "It will be really problematic for us if we miss the timing for the operation."
Vicente hardened his resolve again upon hearing the doctor's words. He pulled back his hand and stared down into Charlotte's eyes. He then asked once more, "Charlotte, have you made up your mind?"
Charlotte felt her heart sink.
Inwardly, she was making a bet on it.
She wanted to see for herself if Vicente had any feelings for her after spending two years together. She also wanted to know if he would let her keep this child, given his age and all.
