First Day in HELL

1065 Words
Scarlett She turns around and sees the administrative office. I face the same direction, only to see the guy signing into the school. He had a leather jacket on with a T-Shirt, and jeans. I liked his style all black like me "Who's that hottie?" Blair smirks at the two. "All I see is back," Rose says with a shrug. "Hot back. I sense Seattle and a guitar player." Blair corrects seriously. Blair thinks she's psychic ever since her Grams told her that her ancestors are witches from Salem. "You're going to run this thing into the ground aren't you?" I ask. I assume that's what she was talking about earlier in the car. She nods with a small grin. Rose and I turn around only to see Noah walk into the men's room. I knew it, I knew it, I knew it. He was stoned and on the first day! We go behind him into the men's washroom. I just stand there and let Rose do the lecturing after they are done fighting, I go out first and Rose follows. Before I can go much further I bump into someone. I look up to see a handsome guy with short brown hair that was styled into a quiff. He says "Uh, pardon me. Um...is this the men's room?" "Yes. Um, We were just, Um-I was just-It's a long story..." Rose continues for me" We are sorry, anyways what is your name? You seem new."  "William, yours?" He says motioning at us. "I am Rose and this is my younger sister..." "Scarlett and only by 5 minutes", I say smirking. ------------------ History Class I had history next and as I used to be very good at studies, I loved history too. I happened to walk in the same time as Rose "Welcome back Grey's ." Mr Riley says. Yes, if you are wondering our surname is Grey...it's odd right I have two colours in my name. Rose nods at him and we walk off to our seats, which happen to be right beside each other. Then William walks in. I catch myself staring and quickly look away from him, he sits a few seats behind Rose and me. I look over to Blair who has a smirk on her face and is looking at me and Rose. Rose shyly turns her head around and makes eye contact with the mysterious guy and smiles and I do the same. Then I look towards Aaron and he looks pissed. I give a small smile and turn away. "Ok let's start this off easily. The battle of Willow Creek took place right at the very end of the war in our very own Kenwood Hills. How many casualties resulted in this battle?" Mr.Riley asks. My mind goes blank, I honestly have no idea." Ms...Sutton", that's Blair's last name. Mr.Riley calls out and I sigh in relief."I'm not sure, a lot? Like a whole lot." Blair replies with a small shrug."Cute becomes dumb in an instant, Ms.Sutton.". "Mr.Warner, would you like to take this opportunity to overcome your jock stereotype?" Mr.Riley suddenly says after watching Blair for a moment. All the class has their attention on Aaron now."It's okay Mr.Riley, I'm cool with it." Aaron replies which cause the class to laugh and I just place a small sad smile on my face. "Mmm, Scarlett. Surely you can enlighten us on one of the town's historical events." Mr.Riley suddenly says ."I'm sorry, I don't know." I say looking at him ashamed."I was willing to be okay with this last year for obvious reasons Scarlett and Rose and Scarlett you were one of my best students, but the personal excuses ended with summer break." Mr.Riley says and I look down at my desk and I could feel all eyes on me. You see, I used to be a scholar but the events of this summer changed me more than I did like to accept. I kept looking down, trying to keep the tears from falling. "There were 346 casualties. Unless you're counting the local civilians." William who I found very attractive suddenly said I was too ashamed to turn my head to look back at him ."That's correct. Mr..." Herondale". "Herondale? Any relation to the original settlers here in Kenwood Hills?" Mr.Riley asks him."Distant." The guy replies with a small nod of his head."Well, that great, except there were no civilian casualties in this war." Mr.Riley says before turning around and walking back to his desk."Actually, there were 27, sir. The founder's archive is at the town hall if you'd like to brush up on your facts. Mr.Riley." The class makes small 'oo's' and I look back at him again with my mouth open a little and my eyebrows raised. I didn't focus on the rest of the class as I was too busy to keep my tears from falling. When the bell finally rang, I couldn't keep the tears anymore they just kept flowing. Thankfully everybody had left. Someone put a hand on my shoulder and I turned to see it was Rose. "It's going to be OK," she said but I couldn't help but doubt it. Rose being Rose and being my twin, knew me the best and knew that I was going to break down. Rose I knew this was going to happen, Scarlett being a perfectionist, she tried to keep her emotions to herself but I knew she would break down soon. I loved her and was worried about her. "Umm...do you know where I can find the English teacher?" said William whom we bumped into outside the men's room. Then he realized that Scarlett was crying, "sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt." Before I could reply Scarlett spoke up "No no no, you didn't interrupt anything" she said between her sobs and began to go. I stopped her and hugged her tightly, "I don't know what is wrong with me, I used to be the best" she whispered in my ear and ran away avoiding Stefan's stare. I sighed and turned towards William realizing he was asking something. "Sorry what did you want to ask?", He sadly smiled at me and replied," Never mind, anyways is she going to be OK?" "I don't know William...She is very sensitive and a perfectionist. She feels grief the most and she changed a lot after...Umm sorry I am just rambling" "No no, it's fine" "No it's not fine, anyways I will meet you later" I walked away. I don't know why I started to tell him everything.
