Stix walked in behind Alex. They had searched the area around what used to be the man's cabin, but there were no signs of anyone having been around his place at the time of the fire. Both men insisted they had not left a stove on or fire in the pit. There was no reason for any of this s**t.
Gods he was tired. All he wanted was to find his mate, see if he had calmed down enough to actually talk, make up, and sleep for two days.
