"You really shouldn't be here, Amelia," Yellen said, his face darkening with frustration. He wanted to avoid any more personal interaction with her until he could make sense of the strange aura she seemed to carry, which he feared might cloud his judgment. Amelia, however, saw his words as a weak attempt to dodge the truth, a way to maintain a facade of normalcy in front of Eve. There was no way she was letting this opportunity slip away.
