“Wh-what?” Laila whispered, confusion etched on her face. “You’re pregnant,” Dr. Lin repeated. Laila collapsed onto her knees and sobbed, shaking her head. “No. No, you’re lying.” Constantino crouched next to Laila, his eyes wide. “You’re serious?” When Dr. Lin nodded, Constantino scooped Laila into his strong arms and pulled her into the air.
