Cane indeed followed what Mikael had said to him. He spent the whole week on getting to know Vix. He found out that Vix likes to listen to music a lot, play with Cane's bunnies and sketch. A shocking thing for someone who's about to rule an entire Mafia gang.

He also found out a few habits of Vix. Like when he wants something from you he'll show you his cute pouty face. If he's nervous he'll fiddle with his fingers or touch his nose a lot. He also found out that Vix likes to lick his lip mole a lot. But that's not all, he also found out that Vix doesn't like to sleep alone especially when the room is dark, he also likes to roll around in his bed a few times before going to bed and he doesn't like lightning.

Cane learned a lot during the whole week he spent with Vix. And it was truly enough to confirm what he's feeling for him. And indeed Mikael was right. He was in love with Vix since the first time he saw him. Love at first sight as they say.

And now Cane is only waiting for the arrival of Mikael while Vix is busy in the backyard sketching and playing with his bunnies. Now that he has an answer he can finally face Vix's father.

It didn't take long for Mikael to arrive at Cane's mansion. After giving Cane a week to figure out his true feelings, he was now certain about one thing. This situation he’s in right now will determine his son's happiness and life in the future. He can also see it clearly in his son's eyes that even though Cane is his enemy he still feels something for him.

This is enough of an assurance for him to know that Cane will choose the right decision.

"Young master is waiting for you sir."

One of the butler's said as he guided Mikael inside the mansion. Instead of the living room Mikael was directed to Cane's study room. After being seated Mikael look at Cane who's busy looking outside his window.

As he got curious to what Cane is looking at he too stood up and took a stand beside Cane who's busy looking at his son who's happily talking to a few bunnies. Mikael then turned to study Cane's face. He saw how his lips turned into a soft gentle smile and how his eyes softened and showed great fondness while looking at his son.

Mikael smiled at that before patting Cane's back. "Well I'm guessing you finally found the answer. Now tell me your answer. Are you ready to be there for my son for his entire life or not?"

Cane took a deep breath before giving Vix one last look then looking at Mikael with a serious face. He mustered up all the courage he has before finally talking.

"You were right. I am indeed in love with your son and I want to be there for him, help him, love him, cherish him, protect him and have a future with him where there's no trouble lurking every corner.....But what will happen if my father finds out about it?"

"You don't have to worry about that. As long as you do your job in protecting my son well and loving him with all your heart could give, then I'll help you with your father. As of right now he's already enraged with you not finishing your mission. So to keep him occupied for a while I decided to make some trouble for him. As for you, all you have to do is make sure my son finishes his job quickly. The sooner the better. I want him to finally live a peaceful life with no hatred in his heart. To finally fulfill what his mother would’ve wanted for him."

Cane let out a sigh after hearing what Mikael said. Now that he finally gave him his answer he can finally breathe comfortably. With the help of Mikael, his father won't trouble him for a while which is enough time for him to help Vix finish what he has started.

"Don't worry about it sir. I already talked to your son about his mission. He only has five targets remaining and we are going after the 5th and 4th target tonight."

"Please don't call me sir. Since you are now my son's lover even though not officially yet call me dad. And make sure that Nicolas won't trouble him or get near him. He's only after my son because his mission was to kill him as per his father's orders."

Cane slightly look flustered after hearing what Mikael had said. He already considers him part of the Locke Family even though he and Vix aren't even official yet. Cane's not even sure if Vix also feels the same way.

"Don't worry d...d-dad my men and I will protect him well."

"Hahaha you don't have to feel embarrassed in calling me dad you know. Now then I'll be heading outside to have a quick talk with my son before leaving. And also later a few of my men will come here along with my son's things. They will be staying here as well to help you protect my son and you don't have to worry as they are my son's trusted friends."

Cane nodded with a slight smile on his lips. Mikael then went out to talk to Vix who's now inside of the mansion. When he was finally alone his smile grew wide. His heart was also beating fast.

Now that he confirmed that he's indeed in love with Vix the only thing he wants to do now is to pamper him with lots of things especially his love but that'll have to wait until Vix himself also feels the same way about him.

Cane can't just go and do such things without knowing how Vix feels towards him. He can't do it if it's all one sided. He wants to feel loved as well.
