"No... please let me go! I don't know anything! I really don’t know anything!!! Please have mercy!!!"
A man full of cuts, bruises and a few broken bones pleaded for his life to the cold hearted no. 1 assassin in the underground world. He tried to escape yet couldn't for his broken leg.
“Too bad then, you aren’t needed anymore.”
“No please spare me!”
Cane stared at the whimpering injured man without sympathy. His gaze was dark, ice cold with no emotion at all. This caused a shiver to ran down the man's body. Cane came down from the wall, walking lazily towards the injured man. His sword lazily twirling in his right hand.
He looks as if he was bored as hell and just wants to finish it off quick. As the man began crawling backwards Cane made a very quick and swift movement silencing the man by cutting his throat. Finally putting the man out of his misery.
A few men under his Clan came and began cleaning the crime scene, making sure no evidence has been left for the police and investigators. With that all done Cane went back to his home to relax. But that was short lived as he was stopped by his so called partners Justin and Ethan.
The three of them are known as the Triad Killers. In the underground world no one dares to come and try to fight them for the three can kill a whole clan all by themselves. That was how strong they are.
"Hold up Cane. Our mission isn't finish yet remember. We have to find our real target which is the son of Mikael Locke." Ethan tried not to shiver and cower away as Cane gave him his famous death glare.
"And how do you suppose we find him with no real lead at all. Our only lead is lying on the ground with his f*****g throat slit open." Justin intervened.
Ethan rolled his eyes as he tried to grab Justin's neck trying to strangle him for even asking such a stupid question.
"That man wasn't the only man to have encountered Vix. There are still a few left which may bring us more clue than that useless guy." Cane could only stare blankly at his partners as they bicker like kids fighting over a piece of candy.
“How am I suppose to know that. Almost every man we encountered who won’t talk is killed by Cane. How can we get proper information about our target if he keeps killing them?” Justin said as he struggled to free himself from Ethan's hold.
“i***t. That man clearly chose death over talking.”
This has been the scenario every time the two is with him. They would always bicker a lot about nonsense which irritates Cane a lot. It's as if the two couldn't live without even bickering with each other. If the two weren't assigned as his partners and bodyguards he would've killed them already.
"Enough."
The coldness in Cane’s voice made the two immediately stop. They both stood still not daring to meet Cane’s eye who's shooting daggers at them.
"Go do your part."
The two hurriedly ran off almost tripping on the way. Cane could only sigh as he watch his idiotic friends finally leave. He didn't even know why he became friends with those two idiots when they are a complete opposite of him.
Cane is a cold heartless man while Justin and Ethan are both lively and always loves to play around. But even if the three of them are opposites their friendship is still deep. It dates back to their childhood days.
With the two gone Cane can finally have some silence as he began walking back to his bike. He badly wanted to get home soon. It’s the only place where he can relax and not try to kill anyone. The home in which his mother left him before she died.

Waking up to the unfamiliar smell of breakfast made Cane alarmed. It's not everyday you wake up in a house that you live alone with breakfast being made.
With careful steps Cane went to the kitchen looking more like a robber than a house owner as he held his sword in one hand. He made sure to make no sound as he slowly approach the kitchen.
Taking a deep breath he drew his katana off it's sheath and with precise movement he jump out of his hiding spot sword pointing at the intruder which is his ever so annoying cousin Noah.
"Whoa there. Don't go pointing that sharp thing on people Cane. You might hurt someone." Noah said as he moved the sharp tip of the sword away from his face.
With raised eyebrow Cane sheathed his sword. An unpleasant scowl was on his face as he looks at his grinning cousin.
Noah is the son of his Uncle who died in a supposedly car crash. At a young age he was trained to be Cane’s right hand when he finally takes over the Clan leader's position.
He was taught a lot of things to protect the only heir. Even if it cost him his own life. A bullshit rule but that’s that.

"Why?"
Cane being a man of few words, the only one who can fully understand him even with his poker face look is Noah.
Noah can tell just from looking at Cane’s emotionless face that he is clearly annoyed with his unwanted presence.
"I came here on behalf of your father. He wants to know if you are okay and what's the status with finding Vix."
Hearing that Cane quickly went back to his room and got a file which was sent last night by Justin. It was a monthly report about how they are doing on their mission.
With quick steps Cane went back to the kitchen throwing the file to Noah who was quick to catch it. He opened the file and skimmed through the content.
"Take it and leave."
"Aww come on Cane. Don't throw me out. At least let’s have breakfast together. I even made your favorite." Noah sagged when Cane only gave him a cold stare. Uninterested with even having breakfast with him.
"Please. Just this once Cane."
Noah’s begging paid off when Cane let out a sigh then took a sit. His breakfast consist of 5 stacks of pancakes with 4 strips of bacon, 2 eggs and his favorite black coffee.
The two ate so quietly you could even hear it if a pin dropped. But Noah is already used to this with Cane being a silent one. He learned to read him instead. His facial expression and actions shows what he is feeling or thinking about and Noah used that to understand his dear cousin.
Now looking at his expression, Noah can tell that Cane is enjoying his breakfast even without saying it. The look of pure bliss was still etched on his face.

"Alright thanks for a wonderful breakfast Cane. I'll be off now. Oh yeah, before I forgot... here."
Noah handed a small envelope with a few blood stains on it to Cane. The letter was messed up with dried blood but it was still readable.
"That was found on one of our men's dead body. It might be a clue on where your target is. Also it came along with a weird symbol."
With that Noah left. Leaving Cane all alone again. The house felt cold again but Cane was used to it, just like always. He was used to the silence an it helps him think more clearly.
